Afternic Alerts emails you whenever domains matching your criteria become available—so you won’t miss out on the domains you need. Let’s walk through the Afternic alert system and see how easy it is to use:

Where to Find Afternic Alerts

Afternic Alerts are found in My Afternic. First, login to Afternic and click on the “My Afternic” tab at the top of the page. Then click on “My Domain Alerts” on the left hand navigation bar.

What Types of Alerts You Can Set

There are four types of alerts you can set:

A. Watch for New Listings – save your search criteria and be alerted whenever new listings are added to these searches. You can save searches based on the following criteria: Keyword, TLD, Category, Maximum and Minimum Asking Prices, exclusion of digits and hyphens.

For example: you may want to be notified when “Chicago” domains become available. Or you may be seeking .mobi domains.

1. Click on the “Add new search criteria” link
2. Enter your search criteria
3. Select the the frequency with which you would like to receive your emails – daily or weekly.
4. Click “Add to Domain Alerts”

B. Watch for Existing Listings – keep track of activity on domains on which you are considering bidding or which may be similar to your own listings.

There are two ways to add new domains to your watchlist.

1. In Afternic Alerts : simply enter the domain name and click “add”.
2. In Afternic search results : click on the domain and then click “Watch this Listing”

You will be alerted whenever the price of a watched domain changes, when a member makes an offer, and of any bidding activity if the domain goes into a live Closing Soon auction.

C. Watch for Expiring Domains – the newest addition to the Afternic family is Afternic Auctions. We add hundreds of exclusive expiring domains every day to Afternic.

You can receive a daily or weekly email with all of the new, exclusive expiring domains we add to Afternic Auctions. Or click the orange RSS button to receive the same inventory as an RSS feed.

D. Afternic Closing Soon Auctions – these are domains which are in a live Closing Soon auction right now. They will close and be sold within a week. Use this alert to assure that you don’t miss any domains that you want for your portfolio or business.

You can receive either a daily or weekly email listing all new domains in Closing Soon.

Click the orange RSS button to add the same domains in a feed to your RSS reader.

What You Will Receive in Your Inbox

Depending upon your preferences, you will receive your alerts either every day or once a week.

Don’t let your spam or junk folder gobble up your alerts! Add Afternic.com to your “white list” or “safe senders” list.

Each email includes a link to edit your alerts at any time. Domain-specific links take you to the listing page for that name.

The appearance of our RSS feed will depend on which reader you use.
