Afternic to Upgrade its Categories Next Week
We are improving Afternic’s categorization process — the way in which we classify the domain names listed for sale on our site. These changes are designed to increase the domain relevancy for buyers looking for domain names therefore boosting the probability that your names will sell quickly and profitably.
- Represent over a year’s worth of research and testing on our BuyDomains platform
- Make your Expanded Promotion names easier to find by standardizing them across the DLS network
- Allow us to better analyze sales data so that we can continue to pass on “best practice” information to our members
Accurate categorization has a material impact on the likelihood of selling your name. Our research shows that categorized names are 2.8 times more likely to sell than uncategorized names — but only one in three AfternicDLS customers categorizes their names!
You don’t have to do anything — we’ll do the work for you! Beginning next week, Afternic will automatically switch your domains over to the new categories detailed in the grid below. If you’d like to make changes to these, or categorize your uncategorized names, please visit your portfolio in My Afternic after next week. For those with larger portfolios, take advantage of our Bulk Upload tool.
